WED OCT 30, 12-1pm
Agroecology for the Climate, Not Corporate Biotech! Rally in Solidarity with African Food Sovereignty Movement
Location: Gates Foundation HQ, 440 5th Avenue
Take action with Community Alliance for Global Justice and our AGRA Watch campaign in solidarity with the African food sovereignty movement!
We will rally outside of the headquarters of one of the largest funders of neocolonial, corporate agriculture in Africa: the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Million Belay, Coordinator of the Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA), and activist researcher Timothy Wise will join us to call attention to the failures of the Gates Foundation’s agricultural programs and investments in Africa.
Together we will rally for an end to the funding of false biotech and corporate solutions, and support AFSA’s call for #AgroecologyForClimateAction!
Please RSVP directly to firstname.lastname@example.org or 215-873-4672
Following the action, please join us for our events at Town Hall Seattle!
