In May 2024, we launched a new book club for CAGJ supporters and members of the public! We will focus on themes related to our work and campaigns, including corporate control, destructive philanthropy, and people’s movements in resistance. CAGJ members will facilitate the discussions.

🌟Everyone is welcome to participate even if you have not read the whole book.🌟

WHAT: The September Book Club will discuss Lentil Underground: Renegade Farmers & the Future of Food in America, by Liz Carlisle. Order from Powell’s

About the book: A journalist and protégé of Michael Pollan, Liz Carlisle shares the story of a little known group of renegade farmers who defied corporate agribusiness by launching a unique sustainable farm-to-table food movement in Montana.

WHERE: All gatherings will be offered Zoom. We would love to host a hybrid gathering, with an in-person option, if local folks are interested. If so, please reach out to Heather ([email protected]), including where you are in Seattle so we can identify the easiest place to meet.

Registration is required to receive the Zoom link and Seattle meeting location: Register today!
