CAGJ is helping build the global food movement with our strong commitment to food democracy and food sovereignty – the struggle to democratize our global food system founded on the belief that people everywhere have a right to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods. By forming an alliance with other food justice groups promoting urban agriculture, food sovereignty, and Fair Trade, CAGJ is able to raise awareness, educate, and activate individuals about the social and economic inequities in the food system. For those who want to become involved in the work that needs to be done, CAGJ provides meaningful opportunities to begin to resolve these injustices.
