All Gifts Matched in May-Celebrate CAGJ’s 25th Anniversary

May is Membership Month

Letter from Heather: It’s CAGJ’s 25th Anniversary!

Greetings CAGJ Members & Supporters,

It’s hard to believe, but this year CAGJ is celebrating our 25th Anniversary! And May is Membership Month. As always, all gifts during Membership Month will be matched thanks to UFCW 3000 and generous CAGJ donors!

Our 2025 Annual Report is now available to read online – Enjoy! It started as a year of major transition, as I planned to step down by the end of the year. However, in the Fall we learned of Elaine Nonneman’s generous gift to CAGJ, that she had not disclosed before her sudden death in the Fall of 2024. Thanks to her kindness, I am able to continue in this role, which makes me very happy! In the coming year, we’ll strive to raise sufficient funds to create a sustainable long-term leadership plan.

CAGJ’s 2025 Accomplishments:

  • WTO+25: Celebrated 25 years since the People’s Victory over the World Trade Organization through educational events, Walking Tours and art-making.
  • Art & Revolution: Gathered over 60 activists to learn from artist activists how to make protest irresistible through cheap, accessible art-making. And we’re doing it again in August 2026 (see below)!
  • AGRA Watch Webinars: Co-hosted two webinars working with global partners to strengthen solidarity with the African Food Sovereignty Movement.
  • Farmworker Solidarity: Stood with our Farmworker partners to FREE LELO, and all detained immigrants, and to lobby WA State’s legislature for their right to union representation and collective bargaining.
  • Salmon Victory: Celebrated a huge victory with AquaBounty’s demise in late 2024, and supported Block Corporate Salmon’s continued efforts for the liberation of Wild Salmon and Salmon Peoples.

CAGJ’s 25th Anniversary
Save the Date: On Saturday, October 3, 2026 we will celebrate in style!

Today we invite you to make a donation to help CAGJ celebrate our 25th year of movement building, community education and mobilization for global justice. All gifts in May are matched! We want to show our appreciation with special gifts.

CAGJ’s Members make our organizing possible!
We can’t fight philanthrocapitalism while taking their dollars. Relying on donations from our Members is what keeps CAGJ free and independent.

Please renew your CAGJ Membership, or consider becoming a Member today, to help us reach our $20,000 Membership Month goal.

Thank you!

In solidarity,

Heather Day, CAGJ Director
