An Appeal from Rosalinda Guillen & C2C
Support CAGJ, our valued urban partner!
Greetings CAGJ Community:
I’m asking all supporters of movement building and food sovereignty to support our urban partner Community Alliance for Global Justice by contributing dollars this Holiday Season!
Community to Community Development (C2C) has partnered with Heather Day and CAGJ since our founding in 2004. As farmworkers, we value and need this urban partner that works with us for a Just Transition from an agricultural industry to a food system with values and principles based on food sovereignty.
Additionally CAGJ provides a vital connection to consumers of Cooperativa Tierra y Libertad, a farmworker-owned cooperative founded by C2C.
We rely on partners like CAGJ to amplify our struggles and raise awareness amongst our supporters in the Seattle area about how to join our calls for solidarity. CAGJ organizes their members to join our marches, contact elected officials, write press releases, organize delegations to visit the Cooperativa every year, and to donate to support farmworkers. We’ve had the opportunity to speak with thousands of people at events CAGJ has organized over the years.
Don’t let this vital link in our global food sovereignty movement disappear. Please donate as much as you can to CAGJ this giving season.
On behalf of Community to Community Leadership,
Rosalinda Guillen
