Community Alliance for Global Justice presents:

Traditional Foods of the Americas: Why I-522 & Labeling Genetically Engineered Food Matters!

Miguel Robles, co-founder of the Biosafety Alliance and Field Organizer for Proposition 37 to label GE Foods in California, will be visiting in Seattle to support Washington Initiative 522 to label GE Foods in Washington.  He specifically focuses on Latino voter outreach because of the disproportionate effects of genetic engineering on traditional Latin-American foods such as corn, and the effects of GE agriculture, namely the increase in herbicide use, on farm workers in the US.  This event is free, open to the public, and will be presented in both English and Spanish.
