Interest Meeting: Join CAGJ’s Volunteer Collective & Board

This year is the 25th Anniversary of the Battle in Seattle, a people’s uprising against the World Trade Organization! Out of that powerful week of protests, many were inspired to create a new kind of radical organizing in Seattle, and 23 years ago, CAGJ created our alliance that includes environmentalists, sustainable agriculture advocates, unionists and global justice activists.

Today we are at a key juncture for CAGJ, due to a number of intersecting events. The Steering Committee and other leaders have been deliberating about how to move forward with a smaller financial base and lack of new leadership. At the same time, over the next few months, our Director Heather Day will be stepping down to pursue new horizons.

Our future belongs to CAGJ’s members! We invite you to join a collective of CAGJ volunteers who will take leadership while opening up space for new ideas about the future of CAGJ. We encourage your perspectives and participation! Read our proposal here, for a CAGJ Board and Volunteer Collective.
