Beverly Naidus to speak about the role of art in movement spaces

Join us for the 3rd installment in our Art&Activism series! The series features artist-activists from around the US who will speak to the role of art in movement spaces: creating community, building successful actions, and allowing expression of complex ideas and feelings.

Beverly Naidus is an eco-artist and writer who has collaborated with activist and community groups, artist collectives, and her partner, Dr. Bob Spivey. Her primary forms are public installations, digital projects, and artist’s books. After creating an interdisciplinary studio art program for social change and healing at UW Tacoma, and writing a book about it, she has left academia to write another book, facilitate more community art projects, and teach independently.

Join us to learn more about Naidus' work, ask questions, and learn how to get involved in our armaking workshops later on!
