Cultivating Care, Growing Movements: Washington Food Chain Workers' Struggle for Food Sovereignty
Building off the theme of Summer School, “Cultivating Care, Growing Movements”, we will hear about our partners’ current struggles for Food Sovereignty, how they build joy, care, and culture into the fabric of the change work they’re doing, and how their organizing has benefited from building relationships across the food chain. This event aims to contribute to our collective vision of stronger ties amongst Washington state’s food workers.
A conversation featuring CAGJ’s partners throughout Washington’s food chain:
Jill Mangaliman, Got Green
Kristen Beifus, UFCW Local 21
Edgar Franks, Familias Unidas por la Justicia
Rosalinda Guillen, Community to Community Development
Estefania Narvaez, Block Corporate Salmon/Uprooted & Rising
