The Seattle Race Conference began to create a shared understanding and language about the nature of racism, refine definitions of its modern day forms and identify the tools that can be used to end it. Using this as a foundation, the objective was to cultivate a "movement" for racial justice in Seattle that includes components of a sustainable action. This year's theme is "Perceptions Kill: The Impacts of Implicit Racial Bias".

Join us for the 11th annual conference with workshops, presentations, edutainment, resources, and opportunities to network with community members looking for answers to these and other important questions.

~How pervasive is implicit bias?
~Why does it persist?
~How does it injure and create inequity?
~What can we do about implicit bias?
